For a cap/floor you can define its expiry date and when it should start by entering the following format in the Tenor field:
ZxY
Where:
Z defines the instrument's start date.
Y defines the instrument's expiry.
By default the system sets both the periods to years. So for example, when defining a cap entering 2x5 will give you a 3 year cap starting in 2 years; entering 1x3 will give you a 2 year cap starting in a year.

This shortcut is also supported in the Shortcut field. If you enter this shortcut in the Shortcut field, as it is instrument specific (i.e., only used for the cap) you do not need to also define the instrument type. |
