Selecting Instruments in the Portfolio Page

In the Portfolio page, you can select any of the instruments in the portfolio for copying, deleting, etc. Once an instrument is selected, this is indicated by the instrument’s fields turning blue.

There are two ways to select (and subsequently deselect) instruments.

You can select (and subsequently deselect) an instrument manually by clicking its header. However, if you have a lot of instruments, spread over a number of different pages, this selecting process can be a lengthy procedure. An alternative way to choose a selection of instruments over the entire portfolio (as well as to subsequently deselect a group of instruments) is to use the Select area. This area is accessed by clicking the Select button, to the left of the instruments in the Portfolio page.

In the Select area, you can run a query based on the displayed filters. A query can be used to select instruments or to deselect them. Running subsequent queries simply lets you select more instruments; it does not deselect previously selected instruments.

The available filters are as follows:

Select all instruments in the portfolio

Select every <n> instruments.

By default this selects the first option, and counts from there on. So if you have 6 instruments, and choose to select every 2 instruments, then instrument 1, instrument 3 and instrument 5 will be selected.

Select a range of instruments.

To do this:

1. In the Portfolio page click the Select button. The Select area is displayed.
2. Create your query. To:

Select all instruments in the portfolio, click the All radio button

Select every <n> instruments

Select a range of instruments, click the From radio button and then define your range, for example, from 3 to 10.

3. Click the Select or Deselect button. The instruments defined in the range are selected or deselected as relevant.
