Saving a Portfolio in the Portfolio Page

From the Portfolio page, you can save a portfolio once you have entered its details (including the expiry date and market data for each composite deal).

A portfolio is always saved with its own market rates, i.e., the rates displayed in the Portfolio page for the composite trades at the time the portfolio is saved.

An option is always saved using the Portfolio Management window. You can save it into any of the following folders:

My Portfolio folder

Public folder

Shared folder

Note that by default, when the Portfolio Management window opens, the My Portfolios folder is active. That is, the portfolio will be saved into this folder if you do not select another folder. As access to this folder is limited to a particular user (the user it belongs to), there is no way for other users to access portfolios in this folder. Therefore, if you want users to be able to access your portfolios you need to save them into the Public folder or the Shared folder.

You can save the portfolio as a new portfolio, or into an existing portfolio. However, if you save it into an existing portfolio, note that this action will delete any deals already in the existing portfolio.

To save a portfolio:

1. After entering an option click the Save button in the pricing page or on the ribbon bar in the Home tab click the Save (F12) button. The Portfolio Management window opens.
2. Navigate to the relevant folder.
3. Do either of the following:

To save the portfolio as a new portfolio, enter a new portfolio name and click Save and then click OK.

w To save the portfolio as an existing portfolio (and therefore delete the deals already in the existing portfolio), enter an existing portfolio name and click Save and then click OK.
