The copy and paste features let you define multiple instruments quickly and efficiently. They do this by letting you make copies of one or more instruments within the portfolio. This saves time when you want to specify a number of similar instruments.
Both the original and copied versions are completely independent and each can be edited without affecting the other.
You can copy individual instruments or copy a group of instruments. For more information on selecting multiple instruments, see Selecting Instruments in the Portfolio Page.
If you subsequently paste:
A single copy into an empty instrument column it is pasted into the selected instrument column;
One or more instruments into an empty instrument column, the first one is pasted into the selected instrument column and the rest are pasted to its right
One or more instruments into an instrument column where an instrument has already been defined, the copied instruments are pasted to its left.
To copy and paste an instrument:
1. | Click the header of the instruments you want to copy. The instruments turn blue. |
