Opening a Saved Instrument in the Single Option Page

From the Single Option page you can save an instrument into the Recent Deals folder in the SD-IR Explorer (see Saving an Instrument in the Single Option Page). Once saved you can then re-open it in the Single Option page.

Being able to access a saved instrument means you can:

Edit it.

Use it as the basis of a new instrument.

Calculate the current value of a saved instrument.

You can access any instrument saved into the Recent Deals folder from the ribbon bar by clicking the Home tab > Last Quotes button. This action automatically opens the SD-IR Explorer in the Recent Deals folder.

By default the instrument is opened with the market rates displayed in the instrument at the time it was saved.

Once you have opened the SD-IR Explorer, from the relevant folder you can of course also open a portfolio. However, a portfolio (even if it only has a single instrument in it) will automatically be opened in the Portfolio page.

For more information on opening instruments sent to your inbox (in the SD-IR Explorer window) see Working with the Inbox.

To open a saved instrument in the Single Option page:

1. In the Single Option page in the ribbon bar click the Home tab and then click the Last Quotes button. The SD-IR Explorer opens in the Recent Deals folder.
2. To open the instrument you can do either of the following:

Click the relevant file so it is highlighted and any comments appear in the middle panel. Then click the Open button.

Double-click the relevant file.

The selected instrument is uploaded to the Single Option page.
