You can open any type of portfolio, whether a regular portfolio, template, structure template or structure, from any folder for which you have access rights.
Being able to access a saved portfolio means you can:
Edit an existing portfolio, template, structure template or structure.
Use an existing portfolio as the basis of a new portfolio.
Use an existing template or structure template as the basis of a new portfolio.
Calculate the current value of a saved portfolio.
Open multiple portfolios simultaneously. This is useful as it lets you easily see the overall position of a number of portfolios simultaneously.

You can access any portfolio type from the:
Portfolio Management window or the SD-IR Explorer window
From the Portfolio Management window and from the SD-IR Explorer window you can open:
Portfolios you have saved in the My Portfolios folder and portfolios saved by anyone in the Public Portfolios folder.
Templates you have saved in the My Portfolios folder.
Templates saved by anyone in the Public Templates folder.
Structure templates you have saved in the My Portfolios folder.
Structure templates saved by anyone in the Public Structures Templates folder.
Structures saved by you in the My Portfolios folder and structures saved by anyone in the Public Portfolios folder.
Inbox
From the Inbox folder (which is found in the SD-IR Explorer window and can also be directly accessed by clicking the Inbox button) you can open any portfolio type sent to your inbox by another SDX Interest Rates user.
The Favorites list
From the Favorites list you can access any portfolio that has been added to your Favorites list.
The Structure Catalog
From the Structure Catalog you can access any portfolios that have been saved into the Structure Catalog and that have been saved into folders linked to your user group(s).
By default, only one portfolio can be opened at a time, and it is opened with the current market rates. To open multiple portfolios simultaneously or to open portfolios using saved market rates, you must open them from the Portfolio Management window, and not via the SD-IR Explorer window.
To open a portfolio:
From the Portfolio Management Window see Opening a Portfolio from the Portfolio Management Window.
From the SD-IR Explorer see Working With the SD-IR Explorer Window.
From your inbox (which is located in the SD-IR Explorer window) see Working with the Inbox.
From the Favorites list see Accessing Portfolios Via the Favorites List.
From the Structure Catalog see Accessing Portfolios From the Structure Catalog.
