In SDX Interest Rates you can use user profiles to manage your customization settings (for more information on the customization settings themselves see ).
There are three types of user profiles available, each of which exists in the system independently of the others. This means that you can toggle between them without losing any customization settings.
The three types of user profiles are as follows:
This read-only user profile contains the default SD customization settings.
This user profile is read-only although you can of course use it as a template and then save any changes you make to it either as your MyProfile profile or as a public profile.
This is the default user profile used to control the system’s appearance and settings when you access the system if you are a new user. You can of course change the default user profile at any time. For more information see Working With the Active Profile.
This profile lets a user tailor the customization settings for their own use only.
If you are a new user or an existing user who has never edited the default SD customization settings, then your MyProfile profile is created the first time you save the customization settings.

If required, a company can choose that the MyProfile profile is disabled for its users. In that situation, their users will only be able to choose either the SD Profile or the public profile defined by the company itself. To activate this functionality, contact [email protected]. |
For more information on working with the MyProfile profile see Managing the MyProfile Profile for Your User.
A public profile is a profile that can be selected for use by any users in the user group for which it was defined. This means that you can easily assign the same edited customization settings to a group of users in your company, without each user having to update their customization settings accordingly. Each user would simply choose to use the relevant public profile you had created, and then if you ever need to edit that public profile's settings, the changes would automatically take effect for the users using it the next time they logged in to the system.
In addition, as each public profile can have different customization settings, this means you can create a number of public profiles, each for a single user group and each with its own set of customized settings.
Each public profile can only be assigned to a single user group. However, if you create a number of public profiles (one for each user group) and a user is a member of all of those user groups, then that user will be able to see the public profile created for each of those user groups.
For more information on working with the public profiles see Managing a Public Profile.
You work with the profiles in the Settings window itself.
From this window you can:
View the customization settings for any of the profiles available to your user. See Viewing a Profile’s Customization Settings.
