Whenever you access SDX Interest Rates its appearance and settings are controlled by the customization settings saved in the default user profile.
Among other things the customization settings tell SDX Interest Rates:
How to display information. For example, in the Single Option page the customize settings determine which option class should be displayed by default and for which currency; in the Term Sheet page the customize settings determine whether or not a disclaimer should be displayed, and what contact details (if any) to display, etc.
What market data to use. For example, you can define which market data tenors to use in the yield curve for each currency.
How to calculate certain things, etc.
The first time you open SDX Interest Rates, the default user profile used is the SD Profile (which contains the system’s default customization settings).
Subsequently, you can then change (or customize) these default settings to your individual requirements as necessary and save them either as your MyProfile profile or into a Public Profile.
If you make changes:
To the SD Profile you can save these settings into a public profile (if you have the right permissions) or into your MyProfile profile.
A public profile, you can save its settings into the same public profile (if you have the right permissions) or into your MyProfile profile.
Your MyProfile profile you can only save it as your MyProfile profile.
In addition you can change the default user profile that controls which set of customization settings is in use. For more information on working with the different user profiles see Working with User Profiles.
The customization settings themselves are mostly controlled via the various tabs in the Settings window. For more information on accessing the Settings window see Accessing the Settings Window.
